GUNS N HOSES FOOTY GAME - Police vs Fire
|
|
Each year the Noosa Police and Noosa Coast Fire Service battled it out in the annual AFL challenge know as the “Wobbly Boot” trophy. It is known predominantly as the “GUNS N HOSES FOOTY GAME”
Both teams have battled it out each year since 2001 in order to raise funds for the Noosa Salvation Army and to foster a strong relationship between the two emergency services.
The AFL teams are based largely on local serving members however each has players from the Sunshine Coast and a few mates from the other football codes are called on to help out.
This year the Fire Department will put out a car fire in a display at the half time break and it is hoped to have several celebrities in attendance.
The event kicks of at 6pm on the 14th November 2008 at the Noosa AFL Club, Weyba Road,Noosaville. Gold Coin donation entry, all funds to Salvation Army.
