IGA TIN CAN BAY SEAFOOD FESTIVAL
|
|
 Saturday 27th September 9am to 4pm!
Held on the beautiful Tin Can Bay foreshore, the Festival is the most popular and entertaining way to spend a Saturday for all the family. The music line up alone enticed over 10,000 people to enjoy a fun filled day at the Bay last year and we are hoping to make this year’s event even bigger and better than ever.
There will be crazy clowns, tricky jugglers, rugged rock climbing walls, casual camel rides, and a whole section filled with amusement rides. A lot of the activities are even free!
For the grown up’s there’s a Fashion Parade, yummy seafood cooking demonstrations, retail stalls, food and wine tasting, the beer tent, show cars, motorbikes, or a helicopter ride over the Tin Can Bay inlet.
All culminating in a raffle draw of a Boat, Trailer and Outboard at 4pm… Zinc 96 will see you there!

FRAMING AUSTRALIA’S WILD LIFE
|
|
The chance to showcase Australia’s unique wildlife and to raise funds for the brand new Australian Wildlife Hospital, is an opportunity not to be missed for Sunshine Coast based youth aged four to 17.
Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Worldwide together with Complete Framing studios Noosa and Maroochydore, have come together in an exciting way to help the Australian Wildlife Hospital with the launch of the “Framing Australia’s Wildlife” painting and drawing competition. The competition is an opportunity for the youth of the Sunshine Coast to flaunt their artistic talent through capturing Australia’s native wildlife, with the winners in each age category receiving some very special prizes.
All proceeds from the entry fee for the competition will go towards the Australian Wildlife Hospital. Every one who enters will be helping the 5000-plus patients who are admitted to the Hospital annually. A brand new Hospital due to be officially opened on Steve Irwin Day on 15 November, will double its scope to care for sick and injured wildlife – it will be able to treat up to 10,000 patients every year.
